I recently stayed at Jianguo Garden Hotel for five nights, and my experience was quite underwhelming. The location is excellent, near attractions and shopping, but the service left a lot to be desired, especially for non-Mandarin speakers. While I appreciated the staff's friendliness, communication barriers, room issues, and dining options were significant drawbacks.

The room was fairly nice and spacious, but we faced multiple issues including a non-functional safe and ineffective air conditioning. It was frustrating that I had to call the desk multiple times for issues that were never resolved.

Although the staff was friendly and willing to help, their lack of English made communication challenging. Additionally, some of their policies, like charging extra for using umbrellas, felt unreasonable given our circumstances.

The hotel’s location was fantastic, close to the Forbidden City and a major shopping area. The subway was also just a short walk away, making it convenient for exploring the city.
