I recently stayed at Jianguo Garden Hotel for five nights, and my experience was quite underwhelming. The location is excellent, near attractions and shopping, but the service left a lot to be desired, especially for non-Mandarin speakers. While I appreciated the staff's friendliness, communication barriers, room issues, and dining options were significant drawbacks.

Rooms
5.0
The room was fairly nice and spacious, but we faced multiple issues including a non-functional safe and ineffective air conditioning. It was frustrating that I had to call the desk multiple times for issues that were never resolved.
Service
5.0
Although the staff was friendly and willing to help, their lack of English made communication challenging. Additionally, some of their policies, like charging extra for using umbrellas, felt unreasonable given our circumstances.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was fantastic, close to the Forbidden City and a major shopping area. The subway was also just a short walk away, making it convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited, with overpriced food that didn't meet expectations. I found the breakfast buffet acceptable, but the scarcity of Western food and slow service were disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic and fell short of a five-star experience. The indoor pool area seemed dirty and poorly maintained, which added to my disappointment during my stay.

My stay at Jianguo Garden Hotel was quite enjoyable, thanks to its wonderful location, excellent dining options, and comfortable rooms. However, the inconsistent air conditioning and slow WiFi dampened the experience a bit. Overall, I've had a pleasant stay and would consider returning for the ambiance and quality meals.

The hotel is ideally situated near key attractions and shopping areas, making it easy to explore the city. It's just a short walk to Tiananmen Square as well.
Dining

Dining experiences were really good with a vast array of options, especially for Chinese cuisine. I loved that I could help myself to various foods and beverages.

Facilities were decent, including options for car hire and dry cleaning, but the air conditioning issues were quite frustrating. I expected a bit more comfort from a hotel of this ranking.

My stay at Jianguo Garden Hotel was enjoyable overall, though there were a couple of minor challenges. The breakfast buffet was truly excellent with plenty of variety, while the hotel's central location made it easy to explore local attractions. However, the internet service charged a moderate fee, which could be an inconvenience for some travelers.

Rooms

The room was modern, clean, and spacious, though the bathroom felt a bit cramped. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, resembling the famous "Heavenly Beds".
Service

The front desk staff were helpful and speak some English, which made my check-in smooth. However, I had a slight confusion with a note regarding a facecloth cleaning charge.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was very convenient, situated near a metro station and a large shopping mall. I appreciated being within walking distance of key attractions, though I opted for a taxi due to the cold weather during my visit.
Dining

The breakfast was very nice, with options ranging from traditional Chinese dishes to American favorites. I particularly enjoyed the made-to-order eggs and pancakes.

The hotel offered various facilities including a laundry service and a paid airport shuttle. The free wireless internet in the lobby was a bit limited in seating, but still useful.

My stay at Jianguo Garden Hotel was pleasant, especially thanks to the clean and spacious rooms, though I did face some challenges with the taxi service and a long wait during check-in. The dining options were varied, but I would have liked more fresh fruit selections during breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed my time, particularly the convenience of the location near several must-see spots! 😊

I spent two nights at Jianguo Garden Hotel and overall had a decent experience. The breakfast was a highlight with a fantastic variety of options, but the lack of air conditioning made for a sticky night. While the location is superb for sightseeing, communication with the staff could be challenging for Western travelers.

Rooms

The room was spacious and clean, though I was surprised by the absence of air conditioning, which made for a rough night. Although the bed was firm and the bathroom was nice, I expected a little more comfort.
Service

While the staff were friendly and tried their best to assist, communication was often difficult due to limited English skills. I had to resort to drawing pictures to get my messages across.
